C.B.S.E zonal level Science Exhibition began at DAV International School, Amritsar on 20^th January, 2015.

A colorful cultural program was organized under the guidance of Principal Anjana Gupta. Sh. Rajesh Sharma, S.D.M, Amritsar-II, presided over the function as the Chief Guest. Dr. V.P Lakhanpal, Chairman of the institute, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Manager of the school and Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor illumined the occasion with their presence.

The opening ceremony began with lamp lighting. Worthy guests were extended floral welcome by the Principal.

Young DAVIANS mesmerized everyone with the melodious presentation of DAV Gaan and Saraswati Vandana. Chairman, Dr. V. P Lakhanpal welcomed the guests and the participating students and wished them good luck.

Chief Guest, Sh. Rajesh Sharma, in his speech said that students have tremendous caliber and creativity. They have efficiency to accomplish all kinds of tasks. If given right guidance, they can do wonders in every field. The main aim of organizing such exhibitions is to search for the hidden talent of the future scientists of the nation.

School Manager, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, gave vote of thanks to the audience and said that we have inherited this planet from our ancestors and owe it to our coming generations. We should therefore save it from further deterioration by protecting the environment and animals and safe guarding our natural resources.

In this zonal level science exhibition, 100 students from different CBSE affiliated schools of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir are participating and showcasing their projects based on health and environment; Transportation; wise use of waste materials, Importance of natural resources and their conservation etc.

Dr. Jatinder Singh, Dr. Saroj Arora, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Dr. Aman Mahajan, Dr. Sapna Sethi and Dr. Paramjit Singh were the judges for the exhibition. Principal Dapinder Kaur and Principal Nirmal Sandhu were also present on this occasion.

The function concluded with National Anthem.
