Krishna Ashtami is an annual celebration of the birth of Hindu deity KRISHNA. The Hindus celebrate this religious festival by fasting and staying up until midnight, the time when Krishna is believed to have been born. DAVIS celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with great ardor. A special Morning Assembly was organized, delivering of sermons on Krishna’ life.

The students were dressed up in ethnic outfits, depicting dramatic enactment of the life of Krishna. The images of Krishna’s infancy were placed in swings and cradles and tiny toddlers enjoyed to their fullest by swinging them. The young DAVIANS sang devotional songs and exchanged gifts.

Principal Anjana Gupta briefed the young learners about the history of this day and advised them to have a brief knowledge of such festivals as they form an integral role in preserving our cultural heritage.
