A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP AT DAV INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMRITSAR

As a part of performance enhancement program (PEP) series, a 2-day workshop for the teachers of English, Hindi & Maths of classes III, IV & V was organized at DAV International School on 16^th & 17^th May, 2015, under the aegis of DAV Centre for Academic Excellence in which teachers of all the three subjects participated from different schools of Amritsar Zone.

Regional Director Dr. Mrs. Neelam Kamra presided over the occasion as a Special Guest.

Experienced senior teachers of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar conducted this workshop in their respective subjects. These included Mrs. Simmi Ahuja and Mrs. Lakhwinder Kaur for Hindi, Mrs. Neena Tuteja, Mrs. Simmi Sahni and Mrs. Bharti Juneja for Mathematics, Mrs. Simrat Dawar and Mrs. Sonali Sharma for English. The workshop began with the lighting of the pious lamps to seek divine blessings followed by the chanting of the DAV Gaan. A special floral welcome was accorded to the worthy Resource Persons.

Dr. Mrs. Neelam Kamra extended a warm and hearty welcome to the Resource persons and all the participants. She remarked that everyone must try to derive maximum benefits from this workshop and make it interactive.

In her address to all the participating teachers, Principal Anjana Gupta emphasized that it is mandatory for the teachers these days to keep on honing their teaching acumen and conducting this workshop is a step in this direction only. She was all praise for the President DAV CMC Arya Rattan Sh. Punam Suri for initiating such educative workshops.
