DAV INTERNATIONAL PAYS HEARTFELT TRIBUTE TO FORMER PRESIDENT

A special assembly was held on the premises of DAV International School, Amritsar on 28^th July, 2015, to pay a tribute to the former President of India. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who left for his heavenly adobe on 27^th July, 2015 following a cardiac arrest.

In a special programme, the teachers and pupils together paid homage to the exemplary writer and aerospace scientist, decorated with three highest honours of the country, the prestigious Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.

On this occasion, Principal Anjana Gupta asked the gathering to observe a two minute silence for the departure soul and said that today is a sad day for the country as she has lost a man of great words whose impactful speeches had been a solution to confusion and inspiration to despair. She urged the students to follow the path of this great man of action who breathed his last on the Podium.
