VEDIC PRACHAR SAPTAH CELEBRATED IN DAV INTERNATIONAL

Vedas – the breath of God are supposed to be the treasure –trove of Hindu religion, tradition and culture. Considering their immense significance in shaping the moral aspect of the personalities of the children, DAV International School is celebrating ‘Ved Prachar Saptah’ from 22^nd August, 2015 to 29^th August, 2015 under the able guidance of Sh. Punam Suri, President of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha & DAV College Managing Committee and Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, President of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab & Regional Director.

An auspicious beginning was given to the celebrations of this week by conducting the holy hawan in which the students participated and chanted the Vedic Mantras. During this week various activities are being conducted in the school. The relevance of Vedas is being explained to the students in their classes by the teachers on daily basis. Morning Assemblies are being conducted on the theme of Vedas which include arya samaj niyam, poetry recitation and declamation on the importance of Vedas. A declamation contest on Swami Dayanand ji was also conducted. A vedic quiz was held to enhance the knowledge of the students about the four Vedas.  A ‘Jan Chetna Rally’ is going to be held on 26^th August, 2015 in which students of senior classes will participate and spread awareness among the general public about the unique features of the holy Vedas and the teachings of Arya Samaj and Maharishi Dayanand. A short play emphasis the importance of Vedas will also be staged on the school premises on  27^th August, 2015.

Principal Anjana Gupta addressed the students in one of the morning assemblies and remarked that we should be proud of our rich vedic culture and heritage. She advised the students to conduct holy yajnas in their houses at least once in a week and chant the Vedic mantras as it spreads positive energy and produces positive effects in the body.
