CRAFT EXHIBITION AT DAV INTERNATIONAL

A Craft Exhibition was held at DAV International School on 24^th December, 2015 in which 3000 students from classes Nursery to V exhibited their creative skills. On this occasion IPS Sh. Kunwar Vijay Pratap, Inspector General of Police, Border Range and his better half  Mrs. Madhumita were the Chief Guests. Chairman of the School Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal, Regional Director Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Mrs. Nirmal Gupta were also present on the occasion. Principal Anjana Gupta accorded a floral welcome to all the distinguished guests and told the mediapersons that through the various craft items and models the students of classes Nursery to V, have tried to spread awareness about different evils prevailing in our society and also suggested ways & means to curb the same.

Chief Guest Kunwar Vijay Pratap lighted the pious lamps to inaugurate the exhibition. The students of the school chanted the Vedic Mantras to spread a holy aura around. Titled as “Route to the Healthy World” this exhibition conveyed the message of checking air & water pollution, preserving wild & water animals, and the other Natural bounties on this earth.

Harmful effects of Junk food, accidents due to the use of Plastics & Chinese Dor  & violation of Traffic rules, judicious use of Internet, Importance of Ayurveda, ways to save energy were some of the important sub-themes of the exhibition.

The students of IX & X presented Models on the use of Mathematics in everybody life, Modern methods to prevent AIDS and use of solar energy.

The Chief Guest was overwhelmed to see the creative outputs of the budding artists of the school and assured that the society has a bright future if its youth is so thoughtful about its prevailing problems. The parents were also full of praise for the efforts put in by the students as well as teachers.

On this occasion, Arya Samaj members Sh. Inderpal Arya, Sh. Praveen Kumar, Sh. Rameshwar Dutt from Bharat Vikas Parishad and LMC Member S. Satnam Singh were also present.
