DAV International School celebrates International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day was observed with full vigour at DAV International School, Amritsar, on 8^th September, 2016. Students emphasized on the importance of education through a special morning assembly organized in the campus. By the means of a short play, students reflected upon the curse of illiteracy and how people are exploited due to this. On this occasion, Principal Anjana Gupta addressed the students and said that literate people are fortunate in real sense as they have the power to bring positive change in the society. She also said that as a member of society it is our moral duty to literate it. Students met the children of Navprerna, a unit run by DAVIS and taught them English letters, numbers, week days etc.
