2-DAY ZONAL SPORTS CLUSTER TOURNAMENT INAUGURATED AT DAV INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMRITSAR
On 21st October, 2016, the two-day Zonal Level Sports Tournament was inaugurated at DAV International School, Amritsar.
Organized under the aegis of President DAV CMC, New Delhi Arya Rattan Sh. Punam Suri Ji; Director, Public Schools – I & Aided Schools – Sh. J.P. Shoor Ji; and under the able guidance of Regional Director Mrs. Neelam Kamra & Cluster Incharge Principal Anjana Gupta; 660 players from 5 schools of Amritsar Zone – DAV International School, DAV Public School, Police DAV Public School, GND DAV Public School, Bhikhiwind and MKD DAV Public School, Neshta, Attari participated in this prestigious tournament.
In her address, Principal Anjana Gupta encouraged the students to keep participating in sports as they play a pivotal role in shaping their overall personality. She motivated them to participate in these games with sportsman spirit as winning is not everything but wanting to win is.
Chairman of the School Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal and Manager Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar extended their best wishes of the budding players.
In this 2-Day tournament, boys & girls participated in 21 different games. Chess, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Lawn Tennis & Gymnastic were organized at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar; Basket Ball, Judo, Yoga, Air Pistol, Volley Ball, Athletics were held at Police DAV Public School and Football, Kho-Kho, Skating, Boxing , Swimming, Hockey at DAV International School, Amritsar.
