Career Counseling Webinar
Event Start Date : 08/07/2020 Event End Date 30/04/2021

In order to best utilize the time made available during the COVID 19 period, DAV International School, Amritsar organized a webinar to motivate the students and give them top- notch career counseling.

The webinar was initiated by the Career Counselling Psychologist of the school, Ms. Kiran and was carried on by a team of subject teachers including Ms. Amita Gupta, Ms. Navneet Sandhu and Ms. Shifa Khullar. The session proved productive as many students as well as their parents got some invaluable guidance regarding the future prospects. Various queries related to subject combinations, skill based vocational courses and their significance in higher education were effectively addressed by the teachers.

During the webinar, teachers highlighted the importance of giving freedom to the students to decide their own career paths. They stressed on the fact that one of the most important metrics that define success is the dedication with which an individual pursues his goals. When students are allowed to follow a career path of their choice, they are naturally more invested in it – to the extent where their chosen profession is not just a means to an end but a way of life itself. Since they feel much more contended in a profession of their own choosing, they feel motivated and inspire to get even better. Parents were advised to keep their children busy during the lockdown period and utilize this time to teach them important life skills and basic workouts like Yoga and Meditation to avert exhaustion from creeping in.

The school administration believes that digitization and advancement in technology has come as a boon and therefore no stone will be left unturned to ensure that students are reached out in every possible manner to provide help.
