A glorious event was organised at DAV International School, Amritsar on January 24, 2020 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Anjana Gupta to celebrate the 71^st Republic Day of India. The young talent presented the patriotic songs and a drama was also enacted to highlight the contribution of a great revolutionary leader Lala Lajpat Rai who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the society. He was known as the lion of the Punjab and his brave acts and contribution in the freedom struggle would always remain eternal. The children dressed in patriots’ costumes seemed extremely alluring.

In her address, Dr. Anjana Gupta said that this great day is associated with the honour of our country as on this day India was declared as a sovereign, secular, socialist and a democratic republic. She added that the Indians must recognize the real value of the hard earned freedom and must stay unite. They must fight against the vices and should never forget the sacrifices of the martyrs.

Children vowed to always play a vital role in the process of nation building. On this occasion, Declamation Contest was also organized in various classes on subjects related to country love.
