INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED AT DAV INTERNATIONAL WITH GREAT FERVOUR

The whole premises of DAV International reverberated with the chanting of patriotic songs on the occasion of the 69^th Independence Day Celebrations. A special morning assembly was organized to celebrate this great day. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag. A cultural extravaganza was also presented by the young DAVIANS which included a play based on the eventful life of Sardar Bhagat Singh, a colourful dance performance on the popular song ‘Jai Ho’ and recitation of a patriotic poem. In her address to the students, Principal Anjana Gupta remarked that the credit of holding this wonderful programme goes to all those great freedom fighters who laid down their lives while fighting for the  liberation of our country from the clutches of British rule. She advised the students to draw inspiration from them and contribute something for the country by following the path of righteousness.

This cultural fiesta ended with the chanting of National Anthem.
