Small wonders of DAV International School showcase colours of seasons

On 29th February, 2016, 430 tiny tots of class UKG of DAV International School, Amritsar, by the means of the cultural program, give the message that conservation of nature and control on population is the need of the hour.

In the grand celebration held on the school premises, Sh. Jagjit Singh Walia, District Councilor, Punjab Police, Amritsar, visited as the Chief Guest.

The event commenced with lamp lighting ceremony. Principal Anjana Gupta welcomed the guests with bouquets. In her welcome address, she said that every child has some extra- ordinary skill which needs to be honed. She said that participation in school programs help boosting the morale of the students and finishes their stage fear.Talking about the significance of different seasons, she said that every season is necessary but the increasing pollution of planet is affecting their cycle thus threatening the human life.

The cultural program entitled ‘Merry go round of nature’ focused on the different festivals falling in different seasons and was presented through dance and drama.The toddlers of five years mesmerized everybody with their stupendous performance depicting the various tints of Spring, spreading the different colours of Holi, highlighting the importance of ice-cream in Summer, the boon of Rainy season, the joy of life the festival of Teej and the chill of Winter. It conveyed how children enjoy every season but today’s generation is continuously harming the nature.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Jagjit Singh Walia, appreciated profoundly the toiling efforts of the students. He said that it is the moral responsibility of every person to maintain the decorum of the colourful seasons and if present generation is showing concern for nature, it is a positive sign that the future would be bright.

On this occasion, member of LMC, Sh. SudarshanKapoor, Principal Paramjeet Kumar and parents of the students were also present.

Principal Anjana Gupta honoured the Chief Guest with a memento. The day concluded with national anthem.
