Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week – 2016

DAV International School, as part of its efforts to promote unrighteousness public life and to achieve a corruption free society, observed the Vigilance Awareness Week on its premises from 31^st October to     5^th November, 2016. The theme of the week was “ Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption”. Several activities such as slogan writing, poster making, plays, essay writing etc were conducted to promote transparency and integrity in public life. Students from Std. VI – XII exhibited their novel ideas through these activities as they gave a vent to their inner thoughts and heartfelt feelings. Students also took a pledge propounding that it is imperative that an aware, active and empowered public is involved in any anti-corruption campaign as anti-corruption agencies alone cannot make significant changes.

Observing the Vigilance Awareness Week contributed in creating greater awareness among the young generation as concerted efforts were made for inculcating greater awareness on corruption as it has become a major stumbling block in the way of progress of our country. Students were equipped with thought provoking ideas and they realized that eradicating economic disparity has become the need of the hour and we need to eliminate corruption for taking the economic growth to needy sections of the society.

Hence, the Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in its true meaning and helped to inspire the young minds to march against the menance of corruption.
