Event Start Date : 14/03/2018 Event End Date 31/03/2019

The tiny tots of Pre- Nursery and Nursery of DAV International School, Amritsar, taught core life values through the medium of shapes on the occasion of their Annual Day ‘Aakar’, on 14th March, 2018.

The school was decked up for the occasion presided over by the Joint Commissioner of Amritsar Municipal Corporation, Mr. Saurabh Arora, P.C.S as the Chief Guest. The School Chairman, Dr. V P Lakhanpal and Manager Dr. Rajesh Kumar were also present during the function.

The ceremony began with the lamp lighting observance by all the dignitaries followed by the warm floral welcome by the Principal, Ms. Anjana Gupta. The Principal, while addressing the gathering, said that the toddlers of Pre-Nursery and Nursery are like flower buds and are therefore taught things in a very loving and playful manner. She also said that through the medium of today’s function these students would impart different core values of life.  The idea behind this celebration is to raise confidence of the students through proper skill development.

The little ones, through their dance and acting, communicated that how the different shapes of nature like the round Earth, the Sun, the moon, the planets, ball, coin, wheel etc., teach us to keep moving and motivate us to save our time and money; the triangular trees, mountains and sandwich teach us to remain generous, unshakeable and healthy; the square handkerchief gives inspiration of cleanliness; the rectangular tricolor of India and the school bag fill us with patriotism and inspiration to get educated and become successful in life. The shape of heart inspires to live a life of peace and harmony.

The Chief Guest acclaimed the presentation of the students and appreciated the efforts of the teachers in their preparation. He said that teaching life values to the children in such a playful manner is really commendable as whatever morals they will learn today will shape their future.

Chairman, Dr V P Lakhanpal complimented the tiny tots and extended his blessings to them.       Dr. Rajesh Kumar was also full of praise for the young DAVIANS.

On this occasion Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi and the parents of the students were also present.

The Principal honoured the Chief Guest with a memento. The day concluded with National anthem.
