Tiny Tots of DAV International School celebrate the essence of mother

The young kindergarten students of DAV International School, Amritsar celebrated their Annual Day function entitled ‘Mamta’ on Sunday, the 25th February, 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The function was based on the importance of mother in one’s life. S. Karamjit Singh Rintu, Mayor, Amritsar was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on the occasion. The other luminaries present on the occasion included the school Chairman, Dr. V. P. Lakhanpal, Regional Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and School Manager, Dr. Rajesh Kumar.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest escorted by the dignitaries and the school Principal, Ms. Anjana Gupta who extended floral welcome to him and introduced him to the gathering. While addressing the audience, Principal Anjana Gupta talked about the role of mother in the life of a man. She said that mother is the first teacher and the guide of a child who crafts his destiny with selfless love and care and boosts his confidence.

By means of the cultural programme, the budding stars of the school threw light on the importance of mother. They told that mother is the reflection of God. Since God cannot be present everywhere, He created mothers. For the sake of her kids she can fight with the fierce beast also. Through different presentations they stressed on the different responsibilities undertaken by a mother.

The Chief Guest appreciated the commendable efforts of the students. He said that these students are the future of the nation. Their present will cast its shadow over their future in order to direct it for a better and prosperous tomorrow. He also applauded the hard word of the teachers for the success of the event.

Chairman, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal commended the efforts of the children and said that their confidence was much beyond the expectations. Dr. Neelam Kamra and Dr. Rajesh Kumar were also full of praise for the young performers.

Worthy LMC Member Mr. Amandeep Chandi, Dr. Nikhita Kahlon, Mr. Simran, Principal Sumit Puri and Ms. Ritu Puri, Principal Jagat Jyoti School, Amritsar, S. Satnam Singh, Parents and Grand Parents of the students were present on the occasion. The Principal honoured the Chief Guest with a memento. The function concluded with National Anthem.
