TINY TOTS OF DAV INTERNATIONAL ADD COLORS TO THEIR ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

DAV International School celebrated the Annual Function ‘Spectrum’ of UKG students on February 13,2019 in which the little angels created a colourful ambience on the stage & also imparted innumerable messages.  Sardar Harbhagwant Singh, Deputy DEO (SE) Amritsar was the Chief Guest of the day. Chairman of the school, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal and LMC Members Sr. Satnam Singh also graced the occasion with their presence. Principal Dr.Anjana Gupta accorded a hearty welcome to the distinguished guests.

The program began with the sacred lamp lighting followed by a Green Welcome of the Chief Guest by presenting him a sapling. In her welcome speech, the Principal remarked  that children are raw clay and can be moulded anyway. The school endeavours to provide both holistic and moral development to its students. Talking about the quality parenting, she talked about the role of parents in nurturing a child as a good human being. She restrained them from pampering their children as this can hamper their overall growth.

Through the medium of the cultural event ‘Spectrum’ the students depicted that nature is full of vibrant colours. Every colour has its own importance and a message to deliver. Red symbolizes fortune and zeal and through this students inspired the audience for Blood donation. Yellow stands for happiness, light, knowledge and hope. White is for peace, purity, positivity and simplicity. The Earth will become barren in the absence of these valuable colours.Therefore a message of Save Trees Plant Trees was imparted to the gathering. Saffron color stands for bravery, sacrifice and dedication. Adopting this colour, Swami Dayanand Ji, laid the foundation of Arya Samaj and reformed the society.

Chief Guest S. Harbhagwant Singh applauded the students for their colorful presentation and appreciated their efforts in highlighting the virtues of different colours through their presentation. He also said that the complete development of the children is possible only with the combined efforts of both parents and teachers.

The Chairman of the school Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal presented vote of thanks to the gathering. He appreciated the efforts of the students and said that the colours are the significant part of our life. Dr. Anjana Gupta honoured the worthy Chief Guest with a memento. The function concluded with National Anthem.
