PRINCIPAL ANJANA GUPTA FELICITATED
It was a proud moment for Ms. Anjana Gupta, Principal, DAV International School, Amritsar when she was honoured by the District Administration, Amritsar on the occasion of Independence Day for rendering invaluable contribution in the field of education. This coveted Award of Honour alongwith a certificate was presented to her by S. Bikramjit Singh Majithia, Cabinet Minister, Punjab at a gala function organized at Guru Nanak Stadium, Amritsar on 15th August, 2015.
During her tenure as the Principal of DAV International School, the strength of the school increased manifold and the students of the school won accolades at various state, national & international events. Inculcating moral values in the students being the primary motive, the school regularly organizes Vedic activities. The Vedic Bhajan Sandhya held on 1st August, 2015 at Company Bagh was a step in this regard.
The school has created innumerable benchmarks in every arena under her able stewardship. DAV International School is the first school in the whole district to get CBSE-i affiliation. The credit of successfully implementing “Udaan” – a prestigious project of CBSE, also goes to this school. The young DAVIANS have bagged various prizes in various literary activities as well. CBSE Best teacher Award, CBSE Sports Promotion Award, Mahatma Hansraj Award, ISA Award, Green School Award, and National Sanitation Award are some of the prestigious awards conferred on Principal Anjana Gupta.
On this occasion, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Amritsar District Administration for choosing her for this award and she gave due credit to the residents of the city, her staff, students and their parents for bagging it.
