CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOPS AT  DAV INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMRITSAR

Under the aegis of DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, New Delhi, a one-day Orientation Programme for teachers was organized at DAV International School, Amritsar on 12^th May, 2018. Organized under the able directions of Sh. J.P. Shoor (Director PS-I & Aided Schools), Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal (Chairman) and Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Manager), this Orientation cum Interactive meet was held in the subjects of English , Hindi, Punjabi, Accountancy, Business Studies for teachers of Classes III to XII  EEDP workshop for teachers of classes UKG & I. With an aim to bring a qualitative improvement in the teaching learning process and to enhance learner’s achievements, 275 teachers from GND DAV Public School, Bhikhiwind, MKD DAV Public School, Neshta, Attari, DAV International School, Amritsar, Police DAV Public School, Police Lines and DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar participated in the different workshops.

The inaugural ceremony began with the sacred lamp lighting ceremony followed by floral welcome of the team of Assessors and Resource Persons and mellifluous chanting of the DAV Gaan. While talking to the participating teachers, Regional Director  Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra exhorted the teachers to always continue learning in their lines as there is always a scope for improvement. She highlighted on the immense significance of these workshops in the professional grooming of the teachers.  The team of Assessors also addressed the teachers and remarked that the teachers must derive maximum benefit out of these workshops and ensure the implementation of whatever new they learn, for the benefit of the students. Principal Anjana Gupta extended her best wishes to one and all for the smooth & successful conduct of the whole programme.

Mrs. Amandeep Gumtala for Punjabi (III-V), Ms. Shifa Khullar for English (IX-X), Ms. Mauli Arora for EEDP (All Subjects)(UKG) and Ms. Sonia Arora for EEDP (All Subjects)(Class I) from DAV International School, Amritsar.  Ms. Sunaina for English (VI-VIII), Ms. Mamta Nath for Hindi (III-V), Mrs. Shashi Kaushal for Hindi (VI-VIII), Ms. Seema Grover for Hindi (IX-X), Ms. Kanchan Sharma for Business Studies (XI-XII) from Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Amritsar.
