Under the aegis of Sahodya Schools Complex Amritsar, DAV International School, Amritsar organized an interactive workshop on Learner Motivation on October 6, 2018. The purpose of the workshop was to upgrade the teachers about how to address the unique needs of the most reluctant learners by motivating them to identify and remove classroom barriers. Mr. Kalpesh Amin was the resource person of the day. Dr. Dharamveer Singh, President Sahodaya Schools Complex Amritsar was especially present for the event. 80 teachers from various CBSE schools participated in the event.

The workshop began with sacred lamp lighting ceremony followed by the formal welcome and honour of the special guest and the resource person. The Principal of the school, Dr. Anjana Gupta, in her address talked about the role of a teacher and the significance of the skill oriented workshops. She said that only the urge to enhance the classroom environment can motivate a teacher to bring reforms in her teaching methodologies. Dr. Dharamveer Singh, while interacting with the gathering, said that teaching efficiency can be brought out only through such enhancement programmes. Talking about the role of positive motivation, he shared his life experience of learning and grooming into a better person.

The resource person, Mr. Kalpesh Amin upgraded the teachers about the concept of motivation in the classroom along with the influencing factors and the required strategies. With the help of various kinds of activities he talked about the role of teachers, classroom materials and classroom environment in motivating the students. He briefed about multiple intelligence and different teaching methodologies for different types of learners. The session was quite informative and concluded with valedictory ceremony.
