DAV Celebrates ‘UTSARG PARV’

‘Utsarg Parv’ was celebrated to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj Ji in the premises of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab on November 10, 2018. The programme that started with Vedic Hawan Yajna was attended by over 2000 Arya Samajis, teachers, Principals and office bearers of DAV CMC New Delhi. Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Padam Shree Awardee accompanied by his wife Mrs. Mani Suri was the Chief Guest. Through a dramatic performance based on the life and teachings of Mahatma Hansraj ji, presented by the students of MKD DAV Public School, Nestha Attari, the contribution of this great saint in the field of education, Arya Samaj and eradicating social evils was highlighted. The Chief Guest Dr. Punam Suri in his address narrated some heart touching incidents from the life of Mahatma Hansraj and he called upon all the employees of DAV to imbibe at least one good quality of Mahatma Ji and implement in their life thereby making DAV a bouquet of noble virtues as practised by Hans Raj ji. He also stressed on the fact that the main motive of DAV is not only to produce the best engineers, doctors, administrators and professionals but also to make them good human beings. In his welcome address, the President of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab, Principal J.P Shoor (Director PS-I and Aided Schools) lauded the role of DAV institutions and contribution of the Chief Guest in spreading the message of Mahatma Hans Raj ji.
As a part of its social commitment, the sewing machines were presented to the needy women to earn their livelihood respectfully. The programme ended with the blessings of Swami Chaitanya Muni ji and the thanksgiving by Dr. Mrs. Neelam Kamra, Secretary, Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab.
