DAV International School, Amritsar Celebrated 73^rd Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour  on August 14, 2019 under the efficient leadership  Dr Anjana Gupta. Mr Vijay Sharma Director G. S. K Production and  Harinder Sohal  graced the occasion with their benign presence as chief guests. Principal Dr. Anjana Gupta extended a floral welcome to all the distinguished guests and addressed the august gathering that we born in a free India but we shall never forget the hard struggle and sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The citizens of our country suffered at the hands of the tyrant British officials for years until them finally managed to gather strength and fought hem. Corruption, illiteracy, poverty and unemployment are the hindrance in the progress of the nation and we should eradicate them jointly.

The Chief guest Mr.Vijay Sharma admired the students for showcasing such gusto at such a tender age. He briefed the audience that if we are breathing free and fresh air the entire credit goes to our martyrs. He further added we all need to embrace peace, brotherhood and humanity for a progressive nation.  Harinder Sohal congratulated the principal, students and staff members for exhibiting the great the spirit of freedom and he sang two patriotic songs which left the audience spellbound.

On this occasion the DAVIANS enacted a play eulogizing our nation’s freedom fighters. They spread a message that we should have compassion towards our country from the depth of our heart. Principal Dr. Anjana Gupta presented a sovereign to chief guests as a token of love and remembrance.
