Under the able guidance of Arya Ratan Shri Punam Suri Ji (President DAV CMC), Shri J P Shoor Shri J P Shoor (Director P.S.I & Aided School), Regional Officer Dr, Neelam Kamra (Regional Officer), Cluster In charge Dr. Anjana Gupta, DAV National Sports Cluster II  -2019 was inaugurated at the premises of DAV International School, Amritsar by lighting the inaugural lamp, hoisting the DAV National Sports Flag, releasing the balloons followed by the declaration of the  meet open. In this tournament (from 14^th -21^st Oct, 2019) all in all 1021 students from 16 different schools of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir are taking partin 25 games in totality. In her welcome address Principal Dr. Anjana Gupta welcomed all the participants and gave her best wishes to them.Simultaneously, she quoted the success story of several persons most of whom were the sports person. The purpose was to boost the morale of the players.

Day- Iwitnessed a great spirit of participation, healthy competition and joy of success. All athletes displayed their agility, confidence, strength, stamina and endurance. There was a great support by audience as they were cheering up the athletes.  Cluster In charge Dr. (Mrs.) Anjana Gupta , Principal DAV International School, Amritsar along with other dignitaries was present to boost the morale of the participants. A team of commentators was doing a good job. The Day-I of the tournament was a fun packed learning experience for the students who participated in different events with full enthusiasm and honed their skills.
