A two-day Capacity Building Programme in the subject of English Core for the teachers teaching Classes XI & XII is being organised on the premises of DAV International School on December 20 & 21, 2019 under the aegis of CBSE, New Delhi. The intellectual discourses in these two days are being delivered by Resource Persons – Sh. K.K. Sharma, Retd. English Lecturer, Ms. Vimmi Sethi, PGT English, Springdale Senior School, Amritsar. As many as 40 teachers from different CBSE affiliated schools of Punjab are the privileged ones to attend this programme.

On Day 1, after invoking divine benedictions by lighting the sacred lamps, the worthy resource persons were accorded a Green Welcome. Principal Dr. Anjana Gupta, in her welcome address to the present gathering, expressed her gratitude to CBSE for providing her school with the golden opportunity to host this prestigious workshop. She extended a hearty welcome to the respected resource persons and also motivated the participating teachers to get whole heartedly involved in the workshop to derive maximum benefit.

The resource persons dealt with various important aspects related to the subject of English in a very fun-filled way. They acquainted the teachers with the latest developments & changes in the syllabus and Question Paper of English Core of Classes XI and XII. Various activities to enhance the basic English Language Learning Skills – Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing were conducted. Techniques to enhance the performance of students in their Board Exams were also discussed.

The participants felt delighted and privileged to be a part of such an informative programme. This feast of learning will conclude on December 21, 2019.
